Survey during construction, in respect to statutory items, comprises an inspection of the design and construction of the relevant structure, machinery and equipment of the ship to ensure that it complies with the requirements of the following regulations and is fit for the service for which the ship is intended:

1. International Convention on Load Lines, 1966, (ILLC 66),
2. International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 (SOLAS 74),
3. International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships (TMC 69),
4. International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, as modified by the Protocol of 1978 relating thereto (MARPOL 73/78),
5. International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk (IBC Code),
6. International Safety Management Code (ISM Code),
7. International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code),
8. Applicable conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO),
9. International Convention On The Control Of Harmful Anti-Fouling Systems On Ships,
   and applicable amendments thereto.When authorized by the Flag State Administration CRS will act on its behalf within the limits of its authorization. In this respect, when performing the survey, CRS will take into account appropriate requirements from IMO instruments, as well as unified interpretations of such instruments, together with relevant Flag State interpretations.
