Certification of recreational crafts according to Directive 2013/53/EU
Croatian Register of Shipping as a Notified Body (No. 2489) provides certification of recreational craft under Directive 2013/53/EU.
Directive 2013/53/EU is applied to recreational craft of any type, any propulsion, of hull length from 2.5 meters up to 24 meters, completely or partly equipped, or to their components.

The Guide to the implementation of directives based on the New Approach and the Global Approach is intended to contribute to a better understanding of EU product rules and to their more uniform and coherent application across different sectors and throughout the single market (Blue guide).
Directive 2013/52/EU introduce the division of recreational craft for 4 design categories (Design categories of recreational crafts).
The manufacturer chooses the conformity assessment procedure (Procedures for conformity assessment) according to module(s),which shall be applied at the certification of the recreational craft, taking into account design category and hull length.
Manufacturers of complete recreational craft or their components subject to CE marking are obliged to attach Conformity Declaration to each product. Information concerning Conformity Declaration, Declaration forms and their filling instructions are available on website www.rsg.be and on website www.icomia.com.
Manufacturers, designers and other persons interested in certification of recreational craft or its components are advise to contact CRS where we will provide necessary information to ensure a reliable and competitive offer and professionally through the process to fulfilling conditions for labelling your products CE mark and be with you and upon fulfilling the conditions to support you in your daily work.
